His story: On January 4, 1945 Pvt Norbert J Holland was taken prisoner of war in the vicinity of Flamierge-Flamisoul, Belgium.
Imprisonment Stalag IV-B Mühlberg, Landkreis Elbe-Elster, Brandenburg, Germany. He died on April 1, 1945 in POW Hospital in Wahren-Leipzig, Germany. Investigation on July 14, 1948 revealed that according to cemetery records he was interred in the East Cemetery at Leipzig-Pegau and disinterred by an American Search and Recovery Team. Attempts to associate unknowns recovered from the location, were all negative.
He was officialy declared dead on October 25, 1945.
