His story: Sgt Ken A W Ottewell was the only survivor of the Perez Crew, which failed to return from a mission to attack German supply routes in the Belgian Ardenneson on the night of January 5/6, 1945.
Sgt Ottewell was Seriously Wounded in Action and taken POW and lost one of his legs in a German Hospital. He died peacefully on March 23, 2007.
